Bach Project
Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto
Aterbaletto
Founded in 1977 as Compagnia di Balletto dei Teatri dell'Emilia - Romagna and directed by Vittorio Biagi, the company has been known since 1979 as Aterballetto. Composed of 16 solo dancers capable of understanding the most diverse styles in depth, Aterballetto has acquired wide recognition in Italy and on the international scene thanks to the high quality of its performers. Today it is recognized as the first contemporary dance company in Italy and the first permanent ballet production organization apart from opera companies. With the arrival at its direction of Gigi Cristoforetti in 2017, the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto opens up to choreographic productions belonging to plural artistic universes and updates its artistic mission. By creating a dialogue with the visual arts, music, theater and education, the Aterballetto company initiates multidisciplinary collaborative projects.
