  • Poetic Anger - Hazem Alqaddi & Llewellyn Reichman

    Poetic Anger is an interdisciplinary performance that examines the intenseemotional forces of fury and fear, expressed through the intersection of language,movement, and sound. By blending skating, live painting, visual art, music, andspoken word, Hazem and Llewellyn challenge conventional beliefs and invite theaudience to confront both internal and external conflicts.The performance explores how fury can be both a destructive and transformativeforce, and how fear shapes identity, belonging, and self-perception.Through personal and societal narratives, Local in the World delves into themes ofidentity, geography, home, and belief structures, creating a multi-layered experiencethat resonates with the audience’s emotional landscape.Performance Elements:Skating: Hazem’s skating embodies the tension between fury and fear, evolvingthroughout the performance to mirror the shifts in emotional and physical states. Hismovement oscillates between aggression and vulnerability, reflecting the innerstruggle to find balance in a chaotic world.
