HP24 - Time to Tell
Martin Palisse
Een deel van de show gaat over ziekenhuizen en ziekenhuisgangen.
Dit deel kan stress veroorzaken, afhankelijk van de persoonlijke geschiedenis van het publiek.
Dancing black and white balls, minimalist tempo, bare stage, action under control. Martin Palisse juggles to the rhythm of his story as the carrier of a rare genetic disease. A background that he allows himself to treat with irony and even light-heartedness. Defying gravity, his tamed balls punctuate the story of a life spent under surveillance: the hospital corridors, the exercise tests, the condescending little phrases of certain caregivers. Time to Tell is a poetic exploration guided by a profound questioning of the passage of time and the contingency of things. A powerful self-portrait – without pathos – like a hybrid object in tension between the graceful motions of the juggler and the force of the story told, or captured by director David Gauchard.
