collusiion

Collusiion is a two-part performance, indoors and out, with three (real) delivery men, two (real) actors and one (real) stuntwoman. The audience is invited to join the performers in a space where they practise falling, learning how to throw themselves to the ground, take the impact, and do a beautiful vol-plané. Later, in the street, there will be a collision. Someone will be hit head-on by an SUV that ‘won't have seen’ them. We know, we're waiting. The audience and the performers spend this time together, between falling down and walking along the street, all watching and being watched. Drawing on his attraction to action blockbusters, his experience of confinement and his encounters with delivery people in the platform economy, Jérôme Michez is looking at how image and empathy work together, activating or cancelling each other out. By mixing reality and representation, he is trying to rekindle this empathy, and rekindle the desire to put oneself in danger in order to reach out to others.
