Aria Da Capo

Four apprentice musicians explore adolescence and its trials and tribulations. Age of promise or of awful expectation ? Of sharpness or of confusion of feelings ? Of withdrawal or of momentum ? A barrier between two states or a self-contained continent ? Violin, trombone, bassoon, piano and singing : they play music, have fun and tell stories, ironise the way their elders look at them and hammer their idols with words borrowed from Thomas Bernhard. Based on their tender and lucid confidences, Séverine Chavrier brings back, as closely as possible, the intensity of this so-called ungrateful age, open to the call of a desire for possibilities that clashes with the world.
