Questcequetudeviens?
Cie 111
Questcequetudeviens? is an homage to an exceptional story and celebrates Aurélien Bory and Stéphanie Fuster reunion. Fuster was studying law when she dropped everything to become a flamenco dancer.
She moved to Sevilla, learned with the greatest teachers – Manolo Marin and Israël Galvàn among other – and overcame all the obstacles to answer her irrepressible call to express herself and her passion.
Questcequetudeviens? tells the story of her struggles.
Over the course of three parts, Bory creates for her a space that reflects her inner journey, from the birth of her passion to its full bloom. She wears the traditional Sevillian dress, she is shown living apart in a hut, she is dancing flamenco in water or in a tiny box. Fuster is going through rage and exhaustion, overcoming one obstacle after the other, to finally come out full in full burst. She is performing with the masters of flamenco : guitarist José Sanchez and singer Alberto Garcia.
Questcequetudeviens? is the breath-taking portrait of a free artist and woman.
