What role does culture play in times of genocide? Since the genocide began in Palestine, Brussels has become an emergency destination for Palestinian asylum seekers. Across Europe, we are seeing governments failing to provide adequate support for people in economic and social distress.

Local solidarity networks are self-organising to take in Palestinian asylum seekers, offering solutions ranging from private accommodation to the occupation of buildings. That's why we, Estafette, MONTAGE, Sal de Fête and Soumaya Phéline, are using our institutional and cultural resources to organise a fundraising event for these networks.

On 28 September, Les Halles de Schaerbeek will be dedicated to the defence of human rights for Palestini.nes residing in Belgium.

Culture functions as a crossroads between the artistic and the militant. After all, shouldn't global solidarity be the root of all culture? The artistic landscape we want to build brings people together around spaces of expression, awareness and support.

Estafette for Palestine will be a moment of communion between Palestinians, citizens, artistic collectives and activists. Through speeches and poems, music and dance, workshops and film screenings, and food, we invite you all to join an artistic network of resistance and solidarity.

Together, we can create meaningful change. Join us on 28 September at Les Halles de Schaerbeek to help build a more equal future for all by opening our doors and our hearts.
