Compagnie Michèle Noiret
“Welcome to your survival guide to the 21st century!” It is with these words that Michèle Noiret’s gripping treatise on disaster opens, a piece which questions our perpetually changing society.
The choreographer responds to the ambient, disturbing and violent chaos which disorients the world, but without losing all hope. From this duality she brings forth new life, a new stage creation for 5 dancers in a dialogue between dance and cinema that is characteristic of Noiret’s work.
Todor Todoroff and Vincent Pinckaers, Noiret’s travelling companions, join in the journey. Through sound and video, they build on these on-set images which translate, through breaking points and surprises, the finiteness of existence faced by humanity.
