Stillness is but an appearance. For this new creation, the artist duo Tumbleweed presents a mid-air choreographic piece: an original way to continue their explorations of the loss of points of reference, and the notion of territory.
Suspended above an upturned light, three dancers gradually move out into the void. They bear witness to the impermanence of things, and drift together in pursuit of an elsewhere that continues to merge and fade.
Dehors est blanc, meaning “It’s white outside”, is a reference to the term "whiteout", an atmospheric optical phenomenon in which contrasts are nil and everything seems enveloped in a uniform white glow. Observers can then discern neither shadows nor the horizon, causing a loss of sense of depth and orientation.
